Slovenian insurance holding company buys into Deželna Banka

Slovenian insurance holding company Prva Group - Skupina Prva zavarovalniški holding d.d. and group member Prva osebna zavarovalnica dd completed the acquisition of a 25% stake plus 1 share in Deželna Banka Slovenije d.d..

The two companies agreed to purchase the stake in Deželna Banka from Slovenian cooperative Kapitalska zadruga zbo in January. The parties did not disclose financial details of the deal.

Following the purchase, Prva Group owns a 9.9% stake in Deželna Banka, and Prva osebna zavarovalnica owns the rest of the 25% holding, the lender said March 9. It also added that the stake of Kapitalska zadruga in the lender, registered with Slovenia's Central Securities Clearing Corp., now amounts to 21%, down from 47.53%.
