PE-backed Encore Textile acquires healthcare-linen service peer

Encore Textile Services acquired San Diego-based Emerald Textiles, creating a commercial healthcare-linen service provider with five locations on the U.S. West Coast.

Encore is a portfolio company of Los Angeles-based private equity firm Highland Avenue Capital Partners LLC. Northleaf Capital Partners Ltd. and AIG provided debt financing for the deal.

Jones Day was the buyer's counsel, while Cooley LLP was legal counsel to Emerald. Latham & Watkins LLP and Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP provided debt counsel.

VERCOR was financial adviser to Encore and Highland Avenue. Piper Jaffray & Co. was the sell-side financial adviser and adviser for the debt capital raise. Grant Thornton LLP and Ernst & Young LLP were the accounting advisers.
