The founder and CEO of Japanese conglomerate SoftBank Group Corp., Masayoshi Son, is eyeing a second $100 billion SoftBank Vision Fund, Bloomberg News reported May 15, citing sources.
Initial talks with investors have reportedly begun about committing to the world's biggest technology fund's second incarnation by 2019. It is expected to draw a wider investor base than the maiden fund, which was set up in October 2016, the sources said.
As of May 11, it had reached $100 billion of committed funding.
