C'bon Cosmetics Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 came to ¥30.78 per share, a decline of 38.6% from ¥50.09 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥123.1 million, a decrease of 40.7% from ¥207.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 3.5% from 5.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 5.5% year over year to ¥3.49 billion from ¥3.69 billion, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to ¥3.31 billion from ¥3.38 billion.
Reported net income fell 38.3% from the prior-year period to ¥116.0 million, or ¥28.99 per share, from ¥188.0 million, or ¥45.39 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
