Phol Dhanya Q4 profit climbs 76.3% YOY

Phol Dhanya Public Company Ltd said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter amounted to 7 satang per share, an increase of 76.3% from 4 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 11.8 million baht, a gain of 76.3% from 6.7 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 4.4% from 3.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 33.7% on an annual basis to 270.7 million baht from 202.4 million baht, and total operating expenses climbed 34.1% year over year to 257.6 million baht from 192.0 million baht.

Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to 16.2 million baht, or 10 satang per share, from 8.0 million baht, or 5 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 17 satang per share, a decline of 10.9% from 19 satang per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 28.0 million baht, a fall of 10.9% from 31.4 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased 13.9% from the prior-year period to 914.9 million baht from 803.0 million baht, and total operating expenses increased 15.0% year over year to 870.2 million baht from 756.4 million baht.

The company said reported net income fell 11.7% year over year to 34.3 million baht, or 21 satang per share, in the full year, from 38.9 million baht, or 24 satang per share.

As of Feb. 23, US$1 was equivalent to 35.75 baht.
