Hoya posts 4.4% rise in fiscal Q3 profit

Hoya Corp. reported ¥25.08 billion, or ¥64.59 per share, in fiscal third-quarter profit, up 4.4% year over year.

The S&P Capital IQ GAAP EPS consensus estimate for the quarter was ¥57.66.

The Japanese company's revenues were down 4% year over year to ¥122.59 billion during the three-month period, results showed.

Hoya continues to target ¥473 billion in revenues for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, as well as ¥87 billion in profits.

As of Jan. 30, US$1 was equivalent to ¥113.84.
