Greece should be included in ECB's bond buying program, says finance minister

Greece's finance minister said the European Central Bank should include the country in its bond purchasing program, The Wall Street Journal reported May 29.

Euclid Tsakalotos said Greek sovereign debt should be included in the ECB's quantitative easing program in order to help end its reliance on bailout loans.

The ECB has previously said Greece will not be part of the program until the IMF says its debt is sustainable. But the IMF refuses to say so until the eurozone lenders restructure the loans they provide to Greece.
