Heian Ceremony Service fiscal Q3 profit climbs 6.9% YOY

Heian Ceremony Service Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥28.79 per share, an increase of 6.9% from ¥26.93 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥378.1 million, a gain of 6.9% from ¥353.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 14.8% from 13.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled ¥2.55 billion, compared with ¥2.55 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses declined year over year to ¥1.97 billion from ¥2.02 billion.

Reported net income rose 11.6% year over year to ¥386.0 million, or ¥29.39 per share, from ¥346.0 million, or ¥26.34 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
