PAREXEL International Corp. signed an agreement to acquire Kennesaw, Ga.-based Medical Affairs Co. LLC, a provider of outsourced medical affairs services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

The company did not disclose the terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in February.

PAREXEL expects the acquisition to strengthen and add scale to its current commercialization and medical affairs services.

After the deal closes, Medical Affairs' management team will remain in place and continue to manage its employees and the services it currently provides to clients.
