Standard Solar completes 7-MW community solar project in New York

Standard Solar Inc. completed the 7-MW Sugar Hill Road community solar project in Saratoga County, N.Y., according to an Oct. 22 news release.

Funded in partnership with U.S. Light Energy LLC, the solar project covers 40 acres and is expected to generate over 8.6 GWh per year.

The project received more than $1.6 million of funding from Gov. Andrew Cuomo's "NY-Sun" initiative administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
