Banco G&T Continental (Panamá) SA has obtained a general license from banking regulator SBP that allows it to expand operations to the corporate banking and private banking segments, Prensa Libre reported.
The new license gives Banco G&T Continental (Panamá) "new supply options consistent with their growth goals, both in services and products," the bank said.
The financial entity started operations in Panama in July 2008, with a focus on microfinance and small business segments. It is part of Guatemala-based Grupo Financiero G&T Continental, which also has operations in El Salvador and Costa Rica.
