XPD Soccer Gear H2 profit climbs 5.2% YOY

XPD Soccer Gear Group Ltd. said its normalized net income for the second half amounted to 4 Australian cents per share, a gain of 9.4% from 4 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$8.3 million, a gain of 5.2% from A$7.9 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue increased 22.6% year over year to A$55.7 million from A$45.4 million, and total operating expenses increased 32.2% on an annual basis to A$43.1 million from A$32.6 million.

Reported net income fell on an annual basis to A$9.0 million, or 5 cents per share, from A$9.4 million, or 5 cents per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 6 cents per share, an increase of 14.3% from 6 cents per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was A$14.6 million, a rise of 14.3% from A$12.8 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew 35.9% on an annual basis to A$102.3 million from A$75.2 million, and total operating expenses increased 44.4% year over year to A$78.4 million from A$54.3 million.

The company said reported net income rose 6.1% on an annual basis to A$16.2 million, or 7 cents per share, in the full year, from A$15.3 million, or 7 cents per share.
