Under Armour Inc. said its first-quarter normalized net income came to 4 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 2 cents per share.
EPS rose 17.6% year over year from 4 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $18.7 million, a gain of 19.0% from $15.7 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 1.8% from 2.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 25.5% on an annual basis to $804.9 million from $641.6 million, and total operating expenses grew 25.4% from the prior-year period to $771.0 million from $614.8 million.
Reported net income declined 15.6% year over year to $11.0 million, or 3 cents per share, from $13.0 million, or 3 cents per share.
