QVC revamps organizational structure, senior executive team

Liberty Interactive Corp. unit QVC Inc. unveiled a new organizational structure and senior executive team for the QVC Group, which will become effective when Liberty closes the acquisition of HSN Inc.

The deal is expected to close later this year. The combined group will broadcast 17 networks into more than 360 million homes in nine countries, attract 2 billion annual visits to global websites, handle more than 180 million customer contacts annually, and ship more than 320 million packages annually, the company said Oct. 12.

The new structure will consist of five business units and eight global functions. Among other promotions, the company tapped Bob Spieth to be COO and Ted Jastrzebski to be CFO of the company. Larry Hayes will serve as general counsel.

Further, Steve Hofmann will head QVC US as president, while Mike Fitzharris will serve as president of HSN. The company will name a new head for QVC International in the coming months.

Until the transaction closes, all leaders at HSNi, QVC and zulily will continue in their current roles, and QVC and HSNi will continue to operate as separate entities.
