ORIX makes executive changes

ORIX Corp. made a number of management changes, including the appointment of Hitomaro Yano as head of the company's treasury and accounting headquarters.

The company said Dec. 11 that Yano was previously deputy head of the treasury and accounting headquarters.

Yano replaces Shintaro Agata, who is retiring from the role and was subsequently named an adviser of the company.

Satoru Katahira stepped down as chief information officer. He will be appointed as chairman of the group's health insurance society and corporate pension fund.

The managerial changes will take effect Jan. 1, 2018.
