Tony Jebara, an executive from Netflix Inc., has joined Spotify Technology SA as vice president of engineering for personalization, Fortune reported.
Jebara will help improve Spotify's recommendations to users using artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies.
Meanwhile, Nick Holmstén is reportedly stepping down as the head of music at Spotify and will take an advisory role in the company's business segments instead, according to Hits Daily Double.
Jeremy Erlich and Marian Dicus will take over the responsibilities in Spotify's music segment as the company conducts its search for Holmstén's replacement.
Spotify is reportedly looking for a successor with both music and tech leadership background.
