CIMIC's Sedgman unit secures A$155M contract for QCoal's Byerwen coal mine

CIMIC Group Ltd.'s mineral processing unit Sedgman secured a A$155 million engineering, procurement and construction contract for the Byerwen coal mine in central Queensland, Australia, from QCoal Pty. Ltd.

The company will deliver an expansion on the first phase of the project, previously awarded to Sedgman in February 2018, which will include the duplication of the existing coal handling and processing plant.

Early work has already started, with the project expected to be completed in early 2020.
