Heian Ceremony Service Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 amounted to ¥16.51 per share, a gain from ¥16.04 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥216.9 million, a gain from ¥210.6 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 9.8% from 9.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥2.20 billion from ¥2.17 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥1.89 billion, compared with ¥1.87 billion in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income rose 6.0% on an annual basis to ¥213.0 million, or ¥16.22 per share, from ¥201.0 million, or ¥15.30 per share.
As of Aug. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.44.
