Canadian CUs merge to form Quinte First CU

In Canada, QuintEssential Credit Union and Bayshore Credit Union have merged to become Quinte First Credit Union, reported Jan. 18.

The combined institution has more than C$200 million in assets, five locations and serves over 14,000 members, according to the news outlet.

QuintEssential CU President and CEO Carrie Gregoire became the president and CEO of the combined institutions, while Bayshore CU CEO Joe Bell was named vice president, the publication reported.
