Vestas to supply turbines for 198-MW wind farm in Russia

Vestas Wind Systems A/S secured wind turbine orders for the 198-MW Kamensko-Krasnosulinsky wind farm in Russia, a joint venture project of Russian government-owned Rusnano Capital LLC and Finland-headquartered utility Fortum Oyj.

The wind farm to be built in the Rostov region will comprise 52 V126-3.45 MW turbines, Vestas said in a news release Dec. 21, adding that when complete, the wind facility will be Russia's largest to date.

The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, with a scheduled turbine delivery and installation date in the fourth quarter of 2019.
