* In releasing its 2017 results, EPR Properties said that during the fourth quarter it sold three public charter schools for net proceeds of approximately $52.5 million, and recognized a net gain on the sale of $13.5 million. The specialty real estate investment trust also sold an early-education facility for net proceeds of $700,000.
* Boston Properties Inc. on May 15, 2017, purchased 103 Carnegie Center in Princeton, N.J., for approximately $15.8 million in cash. The asset is a class A office property with approximately 96,000 net rentable square feet, the company said in a filing.
The office REIT noted several dispositions it made during the year, including the April 19 sale of an approximately 9.5-acre parcel of land at 30 Shattuck Road in Andover, Mass., for $5.0 million, the June 13 sale of neighboring 40 Shattuck Road, an approximately 122,000-net-rentable-square-foot class A office property for $12.0 million, and the Aug. 30 sale of Reston Eastgate, a 21.7-acre piece of land in Reston, Va., for $14.0 million.
* BRT Apartments Corp sold the Apartments at Venue in Valley, Ala., for a gross sales price of $51.0 million and a gain of $9.8 million. With a 61% joint-venture interest in the 618-unit property, BRT's share of the gain was $5.3 million.
* A unit of Brookfield Asset Management Inc. sold the 122,000-square-foot Norwalk Corporate Plaza in Norwalk, Calif., for $26 million in February, The Real Deal reported. The seller was a joint venture between Family Property Holdings and NCP Imperial, both of which are controlled by Jerry Yeh, president of Horizon Pacific Construction.
* Midatlantic Realty Partners purchased a 400-unit garden-apartment community in Alexandria, Va., for an undisclosed amount, the Washington Business Journal reported. GID Real Estate Investments sold the property, known as Windsor at Arbors, which last sold for $27 million in 1996.
