BlackRock affiliate wraps sale of stake in 2 Iowa wind farms

An affiliate of BlackRock Inc. completed the sale of its 90% interests in two operating wind farms in Iowa to Greenbacker Renewable Energy for undisclosed financial terms.

Under the deal, BlackRock NTR Renewable Power Fund (Master) LP sold its stake in the 42.5-MW Elk facility in Delaware County and the 37.5-MW Hawkeye facility in Fayette County. The facilities sell their output to Central Iowa Power Cooperative.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved the sale in October 2019 and the parties closed the deal on Jan. 13, according to a Jan. 17 FERC filing. (FERC docket EC19-139)
