Asaleo Care Ltd. said its second-half normalized net income came to 6 Australian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 7 cents per share.
EPS rose year over year from 2 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$38.6 million, an increase from A$9.2 million in the prior-year period.
Total revenue fell on an annual basis to A$316.2 million from A$326.2 million, and total operating expenses decreased 18.7% from the prior-year period to A$249.7 million from A$306.9 million.
Reported net income fell year over year to A$43.1 million, or 7 cents per share, from A$44.7 million, or 7 cents per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 11 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 13 cents.
EPS rose from 1 cents in the prior year.
Normalized net income was A$67.2 million, a rise from A$6.2 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue decreased on an annual basis to A$622.2 million from A$629.9 million, and total operating expenses declined 10.5% on an annual basis to A$505.4 million from A$564.8 million.
The company said reported net income grew on an annual basis to A$75.6 million, or 13 cents per share, in the full year, from A$3.0 million, or 1 cents per share.
