Whole Foods Market Inc. said Aug. 22 that it is recalling Decorated Red Apple Cookies from its stores due to an undeclared egg ingredient, which may pose an allergy risk to customers.
The Amazon.com Inc. unit said it removed all the affected cookies from its stores in the Southern Pacific region. The cookies were sold by the pound through Aug. 20, particularly in Arizona, Southern California, Hawaii and southern Nevada.
The recall was launched after one allergic reaction was reported to the company.
Affected customers can present a valid receipt in stores for a full refund, Whole Foods said.
