Golden Rim Resources Ltd. said Sept. 9 that it expects to recommence a 14,000-meter drill campaign at its Kouri gold project in Burkina Faso in the next three weeks.
The program, which kicked off in May, is currently suspended due to the rainy season. But the company noted that the rig is already in place and the crew will be able to start work immediately once the roads are cleared of floodwaters.
Drilling will first be conducted at the Diabatou granite area, where the company recently intersected high-grade gold zones, before the focus shifts to other high-grade gold zones, including the Maré-Guitorga North induced polarization anomaly.
The company said it also plans to start exploration work at the Diabatou, Margou and Gouéli areas in mid-October, which includes a regional auger drilling program, an IP gradient-array geophysical survey and a ground magnetic geophysical survey.
