SoCalEd issues $1.1B of mortgage bonds

Southern California Edison Co. issued $500 million of 4.20% first and refunding mortgage bonds series 2019A due 2029 and $600 million of 4.875% first and refunding mortgage bonds series 2019B due 2049.

The interest on both series is payable semiannually March 1 and Sept. 1, starting Sept. 1, 2019.

The Edison International subsidiary intends to use the net proceeds to repay commercial paper borrowings and for general corporate purposes.

Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co. NA is acting as trustee, transfer and paying agent.
