Digital Realty unit wraps up €1.7B debt offering

An indirect finance subsidiary of Digital Realty Trust Inc.'s operating partnership, Digital Realty Trust LP, closed its €1.7 billion offering of senior unsecured notes due 2022, 2025 and 2030.

The offering by Digital Dutch Finco BV comprised €300.0 million of 0.125% notes due Oct. 15, 2022; €650.0 million of 0.625% notes due July 15, 2025; and €750.0 million of 1.500% notes due March 15, 2030.

The data center real estate investment trust said net proceeds from the offering came to roughly €1.68 billion. It will use net proceeds from the offering of the 2025 notes and 2030 notes to finance or refinance recently completed or future green building, energy and resource efficiency, and renewable energy projects. It intends to use net proceeds from the offering of the 2022 notes in part to temporarily repay borrowings outstanding under the operating partnership's global credit facilities.
