NALCO pays record dividend after 5-fold YOY jump in fiscal Q3'18 profit

National Aluminium Co. Ltd. said March 12 that it will pay a 94% interim dividend of 4.70 Indian rupees per share, its highest-ever dividend payment, after posting a 401.4% year-on-year increase in its net profit for the third quarter of its fiscal 2018.

The dividends will total about 9.08 billion rupees, and the state-owned company issued a check for 5.47 billion rupees for the Indian government's portion of the dividends.

National Aluminum Co. Ltd. booked a net profit of 7.22 billion rupees in the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2017, compared to 1.44 billion rupees in the corresponding period of the 2017 fiscal year.

As of March 12, US$1 was equivalent to 64.99 Indian rupees.
