Truwin Q4 loss widens YOY

Truwin Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter came to a loss of 165.85 South Korean won per share, compared with a loss of 204.94 won per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 1.32 billion won, compared with a loss of 532.2 million won in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to negative 15.1% from negative 7.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 16.4% on an annual basis to 8.74 billion won from 7.51 billion won, and total operating expenses climbed 26.0% year over year to 10.45 billion won from 8.30 billion won.

Reported net income came to a loss of 1.84 billion won, or a loss of 230.86 won per share, compared to a loss of 951.6 million won, or a loss of 366.41 won per share, in the year-earlier period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled a loss of 337.85 won per share, compared with 233.94 won per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was a loss of 2.56 billion won, compared with income of 1.46 billion won in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue decreased 11.1% from the prior-year period to 32.17 billion won from 36.18 billion won, and total operating expenses grew 6.3% on an annual basis to 35.28 billion won from 33.20 billion won.

The company said reported net income came to a loss of 3.78 billion won, or a loss of 499.78 won per share, in the full year, compared with income of 2.22 billion won, or 357.00 won per share, the prior year.

As of Feb. 29, US$1 was equivalent to 1,241.88 South Korean won.
