Nissan US sales grow 3.7% YOY in August

Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.'s total vehicle sales in the U.S. rose 3.7% to 112,376 units in August from 108,326 units in the same period a year ago.

According to a Sept. 4 release, combined sales of the Japanese carmaker's crossovers, trucks and sport utility vehicles climbed 22%.

Sales of the Murano crossover soared 97% year over year to 9,619 units, while sales of the Titan pickup rose 32% year over year to 4,661 units.

Nissan also sold 33,400 units of its Rogue SUV, up 12% from the same month last year.

On a year-to-date basis, Nissan's U.S. sales fell 5.2% to 1,001,863 units from 1,056,309 vehicles in 2017.
