Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Inc. has launched a new suite of products aimed at attracting more institutional investors, the company announced in a blog post.

The four products are Coinbase Custody, Coinbase Markets, Coinbase Prime and the Coinbase Institutional Coverage Group.

Coinbase Custody, a cryptocurrency storage solution, will be launched in partnership with an SEC-regulated broker/dealer and will offer a service that combines Coinbase's cryptocurrency security feature with third-party auditing and financial reporting validation.

Coinbase Markets, an electronic cryptocurrency exchange, provides a centralized pool of liquidity for all Coinbase products. The business will open a new engineering office in Chicago.

The company also announced the launch of Coinbase Prime, a new platform designed specifically to provide a suite of tools and services to institutional investors when trading cryptocurrencies.

The Coinbase Institutional Coverage Group is aimed at institutional clients by providing sales, sales trading, research, market operations, and client services support.
