Petrofac, partner bag engineering design services contract in Brunei

Oilfield service company Petrofac Ltd. and Serikandi Oilfield and Services Sdn Bhd said Jan. 10 they were granted a "multi-annual engineering design services contract" to support onshore and offshore assets of Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd, or BSP, and Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad, or BLNG.

In particular, Petrofac and Serikandi Oilfield and Services will provide engineering services for BSP and BLNG's entire portfolio of onshore and offshore assets across all phases of the asset life cycle. Design and engineering work will all be done in Brunei.

The contract value along with other financial details were not disclosed.

BSP primarily focuses on exploring and producing crude oil and natural gas from onshore and offshore fields, while BLNG engages in treating, liquefying and selling LNG.
