Capilano Honey Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 38 Australian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 30 cents per share.
EPS increased year over year from 18 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$3.2 million, an increase from A$1.5 million in the prior-year period.
Total revenue rose 34.2% year over year to A$58.1 million from A$43.3 million, and total operating expenses grew 30.4% from the prior-year period to A$52.7 million from A$40.4 million.
Reported net income grew 73.3% from the prior-year period to A$3.6 million, or 42 cents per share, from A$2.1 million, or 24 cents per share.
