Andeavor is looking to beef up gasoline and diesel deliveries to customers by building a refined products terminal at the Rosarito storage facility of Comisión Federal de Electricidad in the Mexican state of Baja California.
The logistics and refining company announced plans to redevelop the facility in an agreement with Comisión Federal de Electricidad subsidiary CFEnergía SA de CV Under the agreement, Andeavor will sign a long-term lease for the land and will build and operate the facility for a total investment of about $100 million, according to a June 6 news release.
Andeavor said the infrastructure project, which it expects to complete in about two years, would reduce the company's cost to import fuels into Baja California for its ARCO stations as well as for its other northwest Mexico customers.
