Kroger to hire about 10,000 employees in supermarket business

Grocery retailer Kroger Co. said Jan. 23 that its family of stores is hiring to fill about 10,000 permanent positions in its supermarket business.

The company added over 12,000 workers in 2016.

Ohio-based Kroger and its units employ over 443,000 people at its retail food and drug stores, multi-department stores, jewelry stores and convenience stores as of January.
