Canada's economy grew 0.2% in June, the same as the last month's rate, marking the fourth consecutive month of growth, data from Statistics Canada showed.
Gains in 17 of 20 industrial sectors more than offset a decline in manufacturing.
Output in goods-producing sectors fell 0.2% in June as manufacturing contracted 1.4%. Meanwhile, the construction sector rose 0.7% and the mining, quarrying and oil and gas extraction sector increased 0.5%.
Services-producing industries went up 0.3%, as wholesale trade rose for the fifth time in six months, by 0.9%. Retail trade rebounded in June, growing 0.6%, and the finance and insurance sector expanded 0.4%.
