Beijing-based New Century Healthcare Holding Co. Ltd. made equity investments in Chengdu New Century Women's and Children's Hospital Co. Ltd. and Chiron Healthcare Holdings Ltd.
The pediatric medical services provider acquired an 85% equity stake in Chengdu New Century for 200 million yuan.
Founded in 2010, Chengdu New Century operates a children's and women's hospital in Chengdu, China.
Concurrently, New Century Healthcare acquired a 10.1% equity interest in Chiron Healthcare through the acquisition of shares and other investments for an undisclosed amount.
Chiron Healthcare group is a privately held healthcare services provider in Hong Kong, through clinics covering various departments including oncology, cardiology and general surgery among others.
"The strategic investment in and cooperation with Chiron Healthcare Group is in line with the business development strategy and plan of the group," said New Century's chairman Jason Zhou.
As of Aug. 10, US$1 was equivalent of 6.85 yuan.
