Charoen Pokphand Enterprise (Taiwan) Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter came to NT$1.13 per share, an increase of 87.0% from 60 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$302.9 million, an increase of 86.8% from NT$162.1 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 6.3% from 3.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 15.9% year over year to NT$4.85 billion from NT$4.18 billion, and total operating expenses grew 11.0% from the prior-year period to NT$4.34 billion from NT$3.91 billion.
Reported net income rose 91.2% year over year to NT$416.1 million, or NT$1.55 per share, from NT$217.7 million, or 81 cents per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$3.54 per share, a gain of 77.2% from NT$2.00 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was NT$950.8 million, a rise of 77.2% from NT$536.7 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 9.8% on an annual basis to NT$18.17 billion from NT$16.55 billion, and total operating expenses increased 6.3% year over year to NT$16.66 billion from NT$15.67 billion.
The company said reported net income increased 83.6% year over year to NT$1.26 billion, or NT$4.70 per share, in the full year, from NT$687.0 million, or NT$2.56 per share.
