Cinedigm Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, came to a loss of 19 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of a loss of 36 cents per share.
The per-share loss increased year over year from 7 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of $1.2 million, compared with a loss of $542,500 in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 3.9% from negative 1.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell on an annual basis to $30.7 million from $31.3 million, and total operating expenses totaled $27.0 million, compared with $27.1 million in the prior-year period.
Reported net income totaled a loss of $2.6 million, or a loss of 40 cents per share, compared to a loss of $2.0 million, or a loss of 26 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
