Subaru US auto sales hit all-time high in August

Subaru of America Inc.'s sales rose 1.4% to 64,088 vehicles in August from the same month a year ago, breaking the company's previous sales record of 63,342 units in December 2017.

Impreza sales for August surged 9.3% year over year, while BRZ sales were up 13.7%, according to a Sept. 4 release.

The automaker also reported year-to-date sales of 446,374 vehicles, a 5.3% climb over the same period in 2017.

Subaru of America is Subaru Corp.'s U.S. subsidiary.
