Amaze Co. fiscal Q2 profit climbs 98.9% YOY

Amaze Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended May 31 amounted to ¥14.31 per share, a gain of 98.9% from ¥7.19 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥217.5 million, an increase of 98.9% from ¥109.4 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 8.0% from 4.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to ¥2.73 billion from ¥2.70 billion, and total operating expenses declined 6.2% year over year to ¥2.31 billion from ¥2.46 billion.

Reported net income increased on an annual basis to ¥210.0 million, or ¥13.81 per share, from ¥96.0 million, or ¥6.31 per share.
