Puget Sound Energy registers $1B of senior notes

Puget Sound Energy Inc. registered $1 billion worth of senior notes that it may potentially sell in one or more offerings, according to an Aug. 2 filing.

The Form S-3 filing includes $200 million of previously registered notes that remain unsold.

The company plans to use net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures, working capital and repayment of debt.
