IRB-Brasil taps Treasury's general attorney as chairman

IRB-Brasil Resseguros SA said its board elected José Levi Mello do Amaral Júnior as chairman until the company's next general shareholder meeting.

Amaral Júnior, who replaces Otavio Ladeira de Medeiros, has been working as general attorney for Brazil's national Treasury since January and as attorney of the Treasury since 2000.

Amaral Júnior also was a member of Brazil's national council of private insurance from August 2016 to December 2017.
