Chlitina Holding Q2 profit falls 25.5% YOY

Chlitina Holding Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to NT$1.67 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of NT$1.83 per share.

EPS fell 25.4% year over year from NT$2.24.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$133.1 million, a decrease of 25.5% from NT$178.6 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 18.0% from 18.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 26.4% on an annual basis to NT$729.8 million from NT$991.8 million, and total operating expenses fell 23.2% on an annual basis to NT$547.1 million from NT$712.5 million.

Reported net income declined 35.3% year over year to NT$153.5 million, or NT$1.93 per share, from NT$237.2 million, or NT$2.98 per share.

As of Aug. 12, US$1 was equivalent to NT$31.39.
