State regulator OKs Georgia's Own CU's purchase of State Bank of Georgia

The Georgia Department of Banking and Finance on May 22 approved Atlanta-based Georgia's Own Credit Union's proposed acquisition of State Bank of Georgia in Fayetteville, according to the state banking regulator's May bulletin.

The deal, announced in November 2017, is structured as an asset purchase.
