New York Fed information chief resigns

Lee Alexander is resigning as executive vice president, chief information officer and head of the technology group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Alexander, who joined the New York Fed in 2012, also serves on the bank's management committee.

Bijan Chowdhury, the bank's senior vice president for enterprise architecture and design, will serve as acting chief information officer while the bank looks for a replacement for Alexander.
