UBS unit names 2 execs to real estate and private markets division

UBS Group AG unit UBS Asset Management appointed Patrick Cunningham and Viktor Kozel to its real estate and private markets business division, Reuters reported.

Cunningham, who most recently was a partner at McCarvill Capital Partners LLC, was named head of infrastructure business development across Americas, Private Equity Wire reported Nov. 6. He will be responsible for growing the business' client and product franchise base in the newly created role, among other things.

Kozel, who looked after debt transactions related to assets in transport, infrastructure and energy sectors for Deutsche Bank AG in London, was named portfolio manager in the infrastructure debt team, the report added. He will oversee the origination, analysis, due diligence and execution of new investment opportunities in Europe for UBS' Archmore Infrastructure Debt Platform II, which has garnered more than €850 million in October and will remain open to new subscriptions until 2018-end with a hard cap of €1 billion, Private Equity Wire said in a separate Oct. 4 report.
