Legend Strategy International H1 loss widens YOY

Legend Strategy International Holdings Group Co. Ltd. said its first-half normalized net income amounted to a loss of 7 Hong Kong cents per share, compared with a loss of 4 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of HK$28.4 million, compared with a loss of HK$11.9 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue fell 28.7% year over year to HK$8.5 million from HK$11.9 million, and total operating expenses climbed 20.1% from the prior-year period to HK$34.7 million from HK$28.9 million.

Reported net income came to a loss of HK$75.3 million, or a loss of 19 cents per share, compared to a loss of HK$19.0 million, or a loss of 6 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
