Focus Minerals Ltd. said April 7 that the total indicated and inferred resource at the Brilliant deposit, part of the Coolgardie gold project in Western Australia, increased 26% to 475,500 ounces of gold contained in 5.9 million tonnes grading 2.5 g/t.
This comprises 348,500 ounces of gold in the indicated category and 127,000 ounces in the inferred category at a 1 g/t gold cutoff grade for the open-pit resource and a 3 g/t cutoff for the underground resource.
The company said the resource update was based on data from 494 holes drilled between October 2008 and March 2017, of which the company has drilled 34 holes since the start of 2017 to the end of March. The company drilled reverse circulation to an average depth of 67 meters and diamond holes with a reverse circulation pre-collar to an average depth of 375 meters.
These results will be incorporated in a preliminary feasibility study for the Brilliant deposit, due for completion in June.
