Ahold Delhaize repurchases €22M worth of shares

Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV repurchased 978,000 shares of the company's common stock from Jan. 7 to Jan. 11, the Dutch food retailer said Jan. 15.

The buyback is part of the company's €1 billion share repurchase program announced in November 2018.

Ahold Delhaize paid an average price of €22.49 for each share for a total consideration of €22 million. It earlier repurchased €14.7 million worth of shares.

To date, the company has bought back 1,641,000 common shares for a total consideration of €36.7 million under the program.
